Seeking a skilled Technical Analyst to join their Business Development team in New York (White Plains area). This is a direct hire position with a leading company offering competitive base salary and outstanding benefits. Responsibilities

• Attain and maintain strong knowledge of technology advancements, technology providers, communications standards and protocols, and market dynamics in the smart grid marketplace and smart metering applications
• Participate in the development of smart grid enabled offers for residential and commercial markets (i.e. smart grid metering application evaluation, smart meter and demand control technology, evaluation of utility-based programs throughout the U.S., non-utility smart meter service offerings
• Interface with residential and commercial marketing manager to develop smart grid based demand response products and programs
• Support commercial demand response/commodity optimization program with vendors. Oversee implementation of program (review customer audits to identify optimization equipment and parameters, optimization implementation, and provide technical support of sales activities)
• Identifying, reviewing, and recommending vendors and evaluating utility/ISO DR and smart grid programs
• Performing site visits to customers and vendors to support implementation of program

Requirements

• Undergraduate engineering degree from an accredited college or university, Electrical degree preferred
• 5-7 years engineering experience in energy-related technologies and applications
• Technical expertise to evaluate effectiveness of technologies, Energy markets, demand response programs, and energy trading knowledge
• Experience with customer-sited DR / SG technologies (metering, controls, energy information systems, solar and renewables, etc.) strongly preferred
• Technology marketing and finance experience in developing a commercially-viable product/service offer
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to represent the company
• Valid driver’s license and willing to travel to customer sites
• Microsoft Office Suite experience

Senior Evaluation Engineer/Energy position in Philadelphia, PA

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Works on a variety of energy efficiency program impact, process and market research evaluation studies.
• An advanced degree in engineering or research related field of study (engineering, statistical analysis, evaluation research, social science research, scientific research, hypothesis testing research, etc.).
• Skilled in evaluation, scientific or statistical analysis techniques.
• Understanding of experimental and quasi-experimental designs and analysis approaches.
• 3-5 years of work experience managing or evaluating utility energy programs.
• An understanding of building systems (particularly HVAC).
• Energy audit experience is desirable.
• Experience conducting site surveys.
• Performing measures analyses.
• Experience preparing comprehensive reports detailing analytical findings.
• Commitment to providing a premium-quality, cost-effective work product to our current and future clients.
• Proven ability to work closely with customers, vendors, and utility program administrators as cost-effective projects are implemented.

Energy Auditor/Energy Initiatives Associate

Reports to: Director of Field Operations

Position Summary: The Energy Auditor/Energy Initiatives Associate will support both the development and the on going management of the CPC Green initiative, a loan program focused on making occupied properties financed by CPC energy efficient through building retrofits as well performing Energy Audits required by the CPC Weatherization Program’s compliance standards as established by the State of New York.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Assist in the training and support of the loan origination staff to benchmark energy usage on properties and in the identification of retrofit work scope items via physical inspection of properties,
• Assist in the bidding, coordination and execution of energy audits for CPC’s buildings throughout the state,
• Assists in completing the audit for final review and sign off by designated party,
• Support the creation and implementation of Energy Usage Benchmark tools which can be used by the mortgage staff in evaluation of a property and in communication with owners,
• Support the development of a database to house all of CPC’s before and after energy usage data,
• Interface with the Communications Department to drive education through the CPC website to property owners creating awareness and demand for CPC’s products.

Knowledge and Experience:
• In depth working knowledge of construction, particularly in multifamily buildings, with knowledge of utility rate structures, energy conservation principles and techniques,
• BPI certification as a Building Analyst or a Multifamily Building Analyst,
• Proven track record in energy use analysis and in preparation of energy saving calculations complete with payback analyses, report preparation and business development,
• Knowledgeable regarding new and emerging trends in the area of energy efficiency,
• Knowledge of utility information systems, energy management technologies and metering. Proficient computer skills including the use of spreadsheets, especially Excel and other database applications are required,
• Ability to travel within New York State with some overnight stays required,
• An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture or similar building related degrees is preferred or comparable work experience will be considered.
